Planning for the Resiliency of Our Towns, Environment, Climate & Tourism

The PROTECT Campaign was a strategic set of organizing activities led by several members of the Yavapai County Climate Change Coalition to formulate transformational partnerships with local and regional stakeholders and secure public and political support for the implementation of a climate vulnerability assessment for the Prescott Quad-Cities region.

After a year of grassroots organizing and finding common ground with diverse stakeholders, the PROTECT campaign culminated in a unanimous vote of support by the Prescott City County to pursue the climate risk assessment via the CLIMAS research group out of the University of Arizona.
